Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports down 1.9 percent in June from May

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 304,768 mt in June this year, decreasing by 1.9 percent compared to May and down 11.5 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in June was $118.05 million, decreasing by 1.6 percent month on month and down 7.1 year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in June amounted to 302,649 mt, up 14.2 percent on year-on-year basis and increasing by 5.9 percent compared to the previous month. In June this year, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $201.3 million, increasing by 5.9 percent year on year and up 1.8 percent month on month.
