New passenger car registrations in Turkey up 14.1% in Nov

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in November 2012 new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey amounted to 91,960 units, increasing by 6.5 percent month on month and up 8.1 percent year on year.

New passenger car registrations in November totaled 52,693 units, increasing by 11.4 percent as compared to the previous month and up 14.1 percent year on year. Passenger cars accounted for 57.3 percent of total registrations. Small truck registrations in November, on the other hand, increased by 6.8 percent month on month and were down 8.3 percent year on year, amounting to 16,369 units. Small truck registrations constituted 17.8 percent of total registrations.

In the first 11 months of 2012, new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey amounted to 997,097 units, with an 11 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2011.
