New motor vehicle registrations in Turkey up 5.25% in Jan-Nov

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in November last year new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey increased by 3.4 percent year on year to 95,065 units, up 27.4 percent on month-on-month basis. In the first 11 months last year, new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey totaled 1,049,479 units, rising 5.25 percent compared to the same period of 2012.

New passenger car registrations in November last year totaled 60,555 units, increasing by 35.20 percent as compared to October and up 15 percent year on year. Passenger cars accounted for 63.7 percent of total new motor vehicle registrations.

On the other hand, new small truck registrations in November increased by 22.1 percent month on month and were down 29.5 percent year on year, amounting to 11,510 units. Small truck registrations constituted 12.6 percent of total new registrations in November.
