Maruichi Steel and Marcegaglia sign cooperation agreement

According to recent market reports from the industry, Japanese steelmaker Maruichi Steel Tube Ltd. and Italian welded steel pipe maker Marcegaglia agreed upon a mutual cooperation for joint development. Under the scope of this agreement, the companies aim to exchange technologies to produce structural steel pipe as well as to negotiate on steel pipe markets of Japan and Europe. Marcegaglia produces welded steel pipe, steel sheet, steel strip, stainless pipe, cold drawn steel tube with an annual capacity of 3.5 million tons. The company has operations in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, England, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, US and Brazil.
