Newport Beach, California-based Macsteel Service Centers USA announced Friday the opening of a new 60,000-square-foot distribution center in Lakeland Florida.

The Lakeland facility will service the state of Florida and stocks a full range of electric resistance weld (ERW) pipe in Grades A, B and seamless. Future plans call for the product line to include flat-rolled products.

"We are excited about this expansion and believe that it will strongly enhance Macsteel's product and service offering in the Southeast US," said Rich O'Toole, President of Eastern North American. "The location is ideal as it is close to the Tampa ports and will allow us to capably service the major cities in the Florida market, with a full offering of pipe and flat rolled products."
