Kazakhstan’s crude steel output declines by 13.8 percent in Q1

According to the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the first quarter this year Kazakhstan's crude steel production decreased by 13.8 percent year on year to 969,700 mt. Domestic flat steel production, however, in the given period surged by 34.7 percent year on year to 526,600 mt.

In the ferroalloys segment , in the January-March period Kazakhstan's production increased by 3.3 percent year on year to 546,900 mt, SteelOrbis has learned.
