Kazakhstan’s crude steel output up 19% in Q1

In the first quarter of the current year, Kazakhstan produced 912,100 mt of crude steel, up 19.3 percent year on year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan.

Production of flat steel in Kazakhstan in the January-March period this year increased by 20.7 percent year on year to 591,100 mt.

In the first three months of the current year, Kazakhstan saw its ferroalloy production rise by 4.9 percent year on year to 418,900 mt, while it produced 11.991 million mt of iron ore, up 0.6 percent year on year.
