ITC initiates reviews for SS pipe fittings from three countries
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) yesterday voted to conduct full sunset reviews (five-year reviews) of anti-dumping duty orders on stainless steel butt-weld pipe fittings imported from Japan, Korea and Taiwan. As a result of the voting, the ITC decided to conduct expedited reviews (120-day) to determine whether the revocation of the orders would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury for US domestic industries. Interested parties are requested to submit their comments on the decision of the ITC. Generally, 95 days after the initiation of the review the ITC determines whether the responses indicate an adequate or inadequate level of interest in a full review. If the responses are adequate, the ITC will conduct a full review, which includes public hearings and questionnaires.
