India’s Directorate General for Antidumping and Allied Duties (DGAD) has recommended provisional AD duty rates on imports of hot rolled flat products of alloy or non-alloy steel originating in or exported from China, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Brazil and Indonesia. The recommended duty rates are equivalent to the difference between the minimum reference prices of $474/mt for hot rolled coil and $557/mt for hot rolled sheet and plate and the realized import prices. The final decision on implementation of the duties will be made by India’s Ministry of Finance.

The investigation launched upon a complaint received from Indian producers Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), JSW Steel Limited and Essar Steel India Limited covers the period between July 2015 and December 2015.

The products in question currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7208, 7211, 7225 and 7226.
