Germany's passenger car output down 24.7 percent in July from June

In July this year, new passenger car registrations in the German market totaled 283,100 units, down 13.6 percent month on month and increasing by two percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the January-July period of this year, Germany's new passenger car registrations increased by three percent year on year, totaling 2,070,100 units.

According to the VDA, in July 371,700 passenger cars rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month decrease of 24.7 percent and a year-on-year fall of nine percent. German passenger car output in the January-July period of this year amounted to 3,293,000 units, decreasing by four percent compared to the same period last year.

In July, a total of 307,700 passenger cars were exported from Germany, down by 16.7 percent month on month and decreasing by eight percent compared to July last year. In the first seven months of the current year, German passenger car exports amounted to 2,532,900 units, falling three percent year on year.
