Germany's commercial vehicle output up six percent in July

In July this year, commercial vehicle registrations in the German market totaled 29,605 units, down 9.8 percent month on month and increasing by four percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the first seven months of this year, Germany's commercial vehicle registrations increased by two percent year on year, totaling 210,300 units.

According to the VDA, in July 24,780 commercial vehicles rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month decrease of 14.4 percent and a year-on-year rise of six percent. German commercial vehicle output in the January-July period amounted to 169,000 units, declining 11 percent compared to the same period last year.

In the given month, a total of 19,610 commercial vehicles were exported from Germany, down by 9.2 percent month on month and increasing by 10 percent compared to July last year. In the first seven months of the current year, German commercial vehicle exports amounted to 128,700 units, declining by nine percent on year-on-year basis.
