European commercial vehicle registrations up 5.8 percent in H1

In June this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) rose by 2.8 percent year on year to 254,919 units, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).

In June, all of the largest markets in the EU except Spain (-0.7%) saw strong gains, with the UK (+18.5%) and Germany (+10.5%) posting double-digit growth.

In the first half of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled almost 1,358,271 units, up 5.8 percent on year-on-year basis. Germany drove the growth with a 13.9 percent increase, followed by the United Kingdom (+10.2%), France (+6.9%), Italy (+4.8%) and Spain (+2.6%).
