Chongqing Steel issues plate prices for October

On September 10, Sichuan Province-based Chongqing Steel announced its latest prices for medium plate. The details are as follows:

1. The prices of common carbon plates have been increased by RMB 200/mt ($27/mt). Following the adjustment, the new price of 12-25 mm Q235A is RMB 5,200/mt ($691/mt), the price of 8 mm costs RMB 5,450/mt ($725/mt), while 10 mm is at RMB 5,350/mt ($711/mt).

2. Low alloy plate prices have been hiked by RMB 200/mt ($27/mt). As a result, the new price of 12-25 mm Q345A is RMB 5,300/mt ($705/mt), 8 mm Q345A costs RMB 5,550/mt ($738/mt), while 10 mm has risen to RMB 5,450/mt ($725/mt).

3. The prices of boiler plate and container plate have gone up RMB 200/mt ($27/mt), with the price of 20g 12-25 mm now at RMB 5,700/mt ($758/mt). In addition, the price of 16MnR 12-25 mm has increased to RMB 5,500/mt ($731/mt).

4. Shipbuilding plate prices have been raised RMB 200/mt ($27/mt), with the new price of 12-25 mm CCSA rising to RMB 5,600/mt ($745/mt).

All the above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of September 10.
