Baosteel to supply steel plate for big container ship

Chinese steel giant Baosteel Group has announced that it has just signed a contract for supply of high-strength steel plate to an unnamed joint venture shipbuilding company, which includes both Chinese and foreign investors.

Accordingly, Baosteel will supply high-strength plate for the construction of the largest container ship to be built in China. The ship in question will be able to carry up to 13,000 containers. Baosteel is one of the strategic partners of the shipbuilding company in question.
