China’s coke output to exceed 410 million mt in 2011

The China Coking Industry Association (CCIA) has predicted that China's metallurgical coke output in the current year will exceed 410 million mt.

The CCIA also announced that in the January-June period of the current year the total sales income of all surveyed coke enterprises in China rose by 36.23 percent year on year, while their aggregate net profit was down 5.57 percent compared to the same period last year. The profit margin of coke enterprises in China dropped to 2.38 percent in H1 2011, from 2.72 percent in H1 2010.
