Angang Steel starts tests at No. 8 coke furnace project

According to Beijing-based Chinese state-run company China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC), the No. 8 coke furnace project of Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Angang Steel has entered its testing phase prior to starting production.
 
With Liaoning-based ACRE Coking And Refractory Engineering Consulting Corporation, a subsidiary of MCC, playing a role in carrying out the project, the JNX3-70-1 seven meter high No. 8 coke furnace will be able to produce 750,000 mt of metallurgical coke per year.
