Baogang Group orders quenching line for steel rails from Siemens

Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel Co. (Baogang Group) has signed a contract with Germany-based Siemens Group for the supply of a quenching line for its steel rails with an annual capacity of 400,000 mt, as announced by Baogang Group on December 13. Construction and equipment installation is expected to be completed within one year.
 
The quenched products will have increased resistance to abrasion and fatigue. Baogang Group aims to improve its competitiveness with its quenched products, to increase its market share and make higher profits.
