Auto sales in Japan rise 32 percent in February

Auto sales in Japan increased in February this year but at a slower pace than in the previous month, according to the data released on March 1 by the Japan Automobile Dealers Association (JADA).

Accordingly, in February Japan's auto sales totaled 333,213 units, showing a 31.9 percent increase as compared to 252,634 units in February last year. In January this year, total auto sales in Japan has risen by 40.7 percent year on year to 263,267 units. Thus, in the first two months of the current year
Japan's auto sales totaled 596,480 units, rising 35.6 percent as compared to 439,788 units in the same period last year.

In February of the current year, Japan's auto imports totaled 24,821 units, rising by 21.8 percent as compared to 20,376 units in the same month last year.
