Argentina’s crude steel output falls 4.4 percent in Nov from Oct

According to the data released by Argentina's chamber of steel, in November 2011 Argentina's crude steel output amounted to 483,700 metric tons, falling by 4.4 percent as compared to the previous month and up 7.8 percent year on year.
 
In November, Argentina's total hot rolled steel product output decreased by 1.3 percent month on month to 485,900 metric tons, while an 8.1 percent increase was recorded on year-on-year basis, including output of 245,100 metric tons of hot rolled flat steel products - down 1.1 percent month on month, and 240,800 metric tons of long steel products, decreasing by 1.6 percent compared to October.
 
The country's cold rolled flat steel product output in November fell by 9.5 percent month on month to 128,200 metric tons, down 1.8 percent as compared to November 2010.
 
On the other hand, in the first 11 months of 2011 Argentina's crude steel production totaled 5.16 million metric tons, increasing by 9.1 percent year on year. However, as compared to the January-November period of 2008, the country's steel production in the corresponding period of 2011 indicated a decrease of 2.3 percent.
