Argentina’s automotive production declines in July

Argentina produced 49,254 units (cars and light commercial vehicles) in July this year, 8.0 percent less than in June and 11.9 percent more than in July 2022.

Exports increased from June to July by 23.1 percent to 28,663 units, representing a 25.0 percent increase from July 2022.   

Domestic sales reached 30,928 units in July, down by 29.9 percent compared to the previous month and up by 5.1 percent compared to July 2022.   

During the first seven months of 2023, Argentina’s production of vehicles increased on year-on-year basis by 19.9 percent to 345,031 units.   

Exports increased by 10.9 percent to 180,707 units, while domestic sales increased by 12.9 percent to 237,789 units, both year on year.
