Argentina’s automotive production increases in August

Argentina produced 63,455 units (cars and light commercial vehicles) in August this year, 28.8 percent more than in July and 17.4 percent more than in August 2022.

Exports increased from July to August by 0.7 percent to 28,862 units, representing a 11.1 percent decrease from July 2022.

Domestic sales totaled 30,294 units in August, down by 2.0 percent compared to the previous month and up by 3.8 percent compared to August 2022.

During the first eight months of 2023, Argentina’s production of vehicles increased by 19.5 percent year on year to 408,486 units.

Under the same comparative basis, exports increased by 7.2 percent to 209,569 units, while domestic sales increased by 11.8 percent to 268,083 units.
