Activity has remained low in the Turkish seamless pipe market due to the upcoming religious holiday and strong currency fluctuations. End-user demand remains weak and is not expected to improve until the end of October. Over the past month, import quotations of seamless pipes to Turkey have moved in different directions. Prices of Chinese seamless pipes for the Turkish market have decreased by a maximum of $20/mt over the past month, while import offers of Ukrainian material have decreased by around $50/mt. Import offers of Russian material have declined by $30-50/mt. Prices of Romanian seamless pipes have moved up by a minimum of $20/mt over the period under review. Meanwhile, most Turkish buyers prefer to play a waiting game, as they seek to observe further market developments more carefully.

Chinese suppliers are offering seamless pipes of 2"-12" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L to the Turkish market in the price range of $840-880/mt CFR.

Ukrainian producers' offers for October production pipes of 2"-6" grade B as per ASTM A106/API 5L are being given to the Turkish market at about $860-890/mt CFR, while pipes as per GOST are quoted at around $840-860/mt CFR.

Russian producer ChTPZ Group (Pervouralsky Novotrubny Works) is offering October production 2"-8" seamless hot-formed pipes of grade B made to ASTM at about $830-870/mt CFR.

Import offers of seamless pipes from Romania (ArcelorMittal), 3"-10" of grade B made to ASTM A106 or API 5L, are being given to the Turkish market at around $1,320-1,380/mt CPT.
