Activity in the Turkish seamless pipe market has remained quiet due to Ramadan. However, prices of Chinese seamless pipes for the Turkish market have increased by a maximum of $40/mt over the past month on the back of higher raw material prices. Import offers of Ukrainian material have remained unchanged, while prices of Russian seamless pipes have moved down by a maximum of $10/mt over the period under review. Import quotations of Romanian seamless pipes have decreased by around $30-40/mt amid currency fluctuations. Turkish traders are showing low interest in purchases of seamless pipes, preferring to keep their inventories at minimal levels amid sluggish demand from consuming industries. Market players do not expect this situation to change before the end of August.

Chinese suppliers are offering seamless pipes of 2"-12" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L to the Turkish market in the price range of $800-860/mt CFR.

August production pipes from Ukrainian producers of 2"-6" grade B as per ASTM A106/API 5L are being offered to the Turkish market at about $930-950/mt CFR, while pipes with 60.3-168.3 mm diameter of steel grade 10, 20 made to GOST are quoted at around $910-930/mt CFR.

Russian producer ChTPZ Group (Pervouralsky Novotrubny Works) is offering August production 2"-8" seamless hot-formed pipes of grade B made to ASTM at about $870-900/mt CFR.

SteelOrbis has also learned that offers given from Russian producer Tagmet (TMK Group) to Turkey for seamless pipes of 2"-6" grade X52 as per API 5L are at around $1,170-1,200/mt CFR on theoretical weight basis, for November shipments.

Import offers of seamless pipes from Romania (ArcelorMittal), 3"-10" pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106 or API 5L, are being given to the Turkish market at around $1,290-1,300/mt CPT.
