Atlas, Independence and Leavitt Tube raise HSS prices $60/nt

Atlas Tube and Independence Tube sent letters to their customers late Monday indicating a price increase for $3.00 cwt. ($66/mt or $60/nt) effective with all new orders received after 5:00 pm CST January 9. All orders currently on the books would be price protected through February 10, 2012.

Atlas said that its increase applies to all HSS Shapes up through 12 sq (Square and Equivalent Rectangles) and all HSS Rounds up through 20"OD. Independence said that its increase applies to 2" SQ - 12" SQ (and corresponding rectangles) and all ITC50 Pipe Size & HSS Rounds up through 12.75" OD.

Leavitt Tube issued a similar $3.00 cwt. increase on Tuesday morning on all products and size ranges. All orders placed and confirmed prior to the announcement would be price protected for shipments through February 10, 2012.
