Atlas Tube raises HSS prices $50/nt

Late Monday, Atlas Tube said that it would be raising the prices on hollow structural sections (HSS) products received after 5 pm CST, June 3, 2013. Prices will be increased by a minimum of:

All HSS shapes up through 12 sq (square and equivalent rectangles): $2.50 cwt. ($55/mt or $50/nt)

All HSS rounds up through 20" OD: $2.50 cwt. ($55/mt or $50/nt)

Orders currently on the books will be price protected for shipments through July 3, 2013. The increase will apply to all unconfirmed quotes and contracts.

On Tuesday, Maruichi Leavitt Pipe & Tube said that it will increase prices by a minimum of $2.50 cwt., effective with all new orders received after 10 am CDT June 4, 2013.This increase applies to all products and
size ranges.

All orders placed and confirmed prior to this increase date
will be price protected for shipments through July 3, 2013. Any unconfirmed
quotes or contracts are subject to this increase.
