Salzgitter reduces its scrap surcharge for November

On October 29, Peiner Traeger GmbH, the beam and section unit of German steelmaker Salzgitter, announced a scrap surcharge of €94/mt ($139/mt) on all beams and sections for November 2009 deliveries. The scrap surcharge of the producer has decreased by €32/mt ($47/mt) as compared to the October surcharge.
