As SteelOrbis has heard, in the local Turkish market merchant bar prices depending on size, thickness and region are at the following levels: small IPN-UPN are priced at TRY 1,200-1,260/mt ($625-656/mt), angles are at TRY 1,200-1,260/mt ($625-656/mt), while flat bars are at TRY 1,210-1,280/mt ($630-667/mt). All prices are ex-works, on actual weight basis and excluding VAT.

Also, it should be considered that some mills may give offers below these levels depending on their stocks.

Trading activity in the local Turkish merchant bar market has slowed down since last week, while increases recorded in scrap and semi-finished prices are expected to be reflected in merchant bar prices in the coming days.

US$1 = TRY 1.92
