In the Turkish domestic rebar market, it is possible to see a price level in the Payas region lower by TRY 50-60/mt ($40-48/mt) compared to the price range given below for this region. Local trading firms are concluding sales at price levels far below the mills' prices due to the fact these trading firms are seeking to cash in their profits. It is even possible to see price levels of TRY 1,300-1,310/mt ex-warehouse ($874-881/mt excluding VAT) including VAT in some regions. However, the EAFs are in particular maintaining their local prices at high levels due to the strong export prices.

The new prices are at the following levels:

Marmara region:

8-12 mm

TRY 1,380-1,445/mt ($928-972/mt)

Payas region:

8-12 mm

TRY 1,390-1,400/mt ($935-942/mt)

Izmir region:

8-12 mm

TRY 1,380-1,420/mt ($928-955/mt)

All TRY prices include 18 percent VAT and are ex-works.

USD equivalents exclude VAT.

1 USD = 1.26 TRY
