A quiet feeling of expectancy has continued to characterize the local Turkish rebar market. Due to the price decreases in raw material and semi-finished products and also due to the fact that end-users have expectations of possible further decreases, the producers' price levels in the local market vary at TRY 1,400-1,520/mt ex-works, including VAT ($1,015-1,102/mt, excluding VAT), whereas local traders' prices vary in the range of TRY 1,380-1,390/mt ($992-999/mt, excluding VAT).

The rebar prices in the local Turkish market are as follows:

Region

                        Price

Marmara

      TRY 1,500 - 1,520/mt ($1,088 - 1,102/mt)

Izmir

      TRY 1,500 - 1,520/mt ($1,088 - 1,102/mt)

Iskenderun

      TRY 1,400 - 1,410/mt ($1,015 - 1,022/mt)

The above TRY prices are ex-works and including VAT, while the US$ prices are ex-works and excluding VAT.
