Omani buyers wait for import long steel prices to bottom out

According to market sources, activity in the Omani long steel market has slowed down as the end of the year approaches, while CIS, Turkish and Chinese exporters are competing with low prices and market players are waiting for long steel prices to bottom out.
 
Meanwhile, billet offers from China and the CIS to Oman are currently at $450/mt CFR, while ex-Turkey rebar offers to the country stand at $490/mt CFR.
