The price level of imported rebar in the UAE market is at around AED 2,350/mt ($640/mt) delivered to site on a theoretical weight basis for 3- and 5-month deferred payment, excluding VAT.
It can be said that prices in the UAE are relatively stable. However, it would be difficult to say that demand in the local UAE market is very strong. The price level of Turkish origin rebar is at around $605/mt CFR on a theoretical weight basis. It seems that Chinese producers are out of the UAE market as Chinese origin prices are still increasing and freight rates are strong.
