The price levels of merchant bars in the local Turkish market have been continuing to decline due to the still slackening semi-finished prices and the low demand level. Slight changes may also be seen in price levels due to the continuous fluctuations in the TRY/US$ exchange rate. As of today, the merchant bar prices in this market, depending on size, thickness and region, are at the following levels: small IPN-UPN are priced at TRY 920-970/mt ($558-590/mt), angles stand at TRY 920-970/mt ($558-590/mt), and flat bars and square bars are at TRY 930-980/mt ($565-596/mt) - all prices are ex-works, on actual weight basis and excluding VAT.
