Over the past week, a few Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have kept their offers stable amid sluggish international demand. Currently, official ex-Turkey equal angle offers are still standing at $620-640/mt FOB, for late September-October shipment.
The SteelOrbis daily Turkish billet import reference price stands at $495-505/mt, versus $490-505/mt CFR a week ago. One Izmir-based merchant bar re-roller has recently concluded new orders from the MENA region amounting to a value of $23.5 million, which may be a positive sign for the export segment. A few merchant bar re-rollers are expected to revise their offer price levels after the SteelOrbis Fall 2023 Conference & 89th IREPAS Meeting due to be held in Istanbul on September 17-19.
