Israeli rebar demand still strong even though buyers limit their purchases

This week in the Israeli rebar market, producers' offers for the domestic market are standing at $760-770/mt ex-works, on actual weight basis, excluding 16 percent VAT and for advance payments. Meanwhile, some deals have been concluded below this level among traders in the Israeli domestic market.

Although rebar demand is at high levels in Israel, buyers are concluding deals only in line with their urgent needs and avoid making large volume purchases for now as they believe the construction sector will slow down with the approach of Ramadan and that prices likely decrease further.
