CSC announces long domestic sales prices for Q1

Taiwanese steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced its domestic longs prices for the first quarter of 2008. The prices are at the following levels:

Round bar 10-36 mm

NTD 19,960-20,300/mt ($616-627/mt)

Low carbon WR 5.5-12 mm

NTD 20,047-20,150/mt ($619-622/mt)

Medium/high carbon WR 5.5-12 mm

NTD 19,970-20,100/mt ($617-620/mt)

Alloyed wire rod 5.5-12 mm

NTD 20,647-20,750/mt ($637-641/mt)

Wire rod 5.5-32 mm

NTD 20,347-20,500/mt ($628-633/mt)

1 USD = 32.36 NTD

The first quarter prices are 5.42 percent higher on average than the fourth quarter prices. The prices of all long products have increased.
