WISCO issues steel prices for December shipment

Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) has issued its steel product prices for December shipment. The prices are as follows (comparisons being with November prices):
 
1. Hot rolled (HR)
(1). The prices of ordinary carbon, low carbon alloy and shipbuilding plate steel products have fallen by RMB 300/mt ($47/mt). Accordingly, the new ex-work prices of 3.0 mm x 1,250 mm CSPHC and 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm CQ 235 respectively stand at RMB 3,870/mt ($609/mt) and RMB 3,810/mt ($600/mt).
(2). The prices of weathering steel and high strength galvanized steel products have declined by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt).
(3) Prices of SPHC and Q195 products are the same as the price of Q235A of similar specification.
(4) Other product prices have increased by RMB 300/mt ($47/mt).
 
2. Rolled plate
All the prices remain unchanged. At present, the ex-works price of 20 mm Q235 plate stands at RMB 4,480/mt ($705/mt).
 
3. Cold rolled (CR)
The prices of steel grades Q195-215A, Q235A, Q275A, DC01, SPCC, WMB1, WSB17; CWJD1, WJD2, SPCCT-EG, WLS280-JD, WLS350-JD, WJD3; SPCD-HS, SPCE-HS; 08AL、SPCD, DC03; SC1, SPCE, DC04; 06CuPRE, WNQ300, 05CuPCrNi, SPA-C; and WDEL250, WDEL300, WDEL350, WDEL400 have declined by RMB 200/mt ($31/mt), while other prices have remained unchanged. The price of 1.0 mm Q195 cold rolled steel is currently at RMB 4,520/mt ($711/mt), while the price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x CQ195 cold rolled steel stands at RMB 4,500/mt ($708/mt), both ex-works.
 
4. Hot dip galvanized (HDG)
The prices of DX51 and DX52 have declined by RMB 320/mt ($50/mt), while DX53 prices have declined by RMB 390/mt ($61/mt). The prices of other products remain unchanged. Currently, 1.0 mm DX51D+Z galvanized coil is priced at at RMB 4,833/mt ($761/mt) ex-works.
 
5. Pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI)
All prices have been reduced by RMB 300/mt ($47/mt). Currently, 0.45 mm TDC51D+Z PPGI is priced at RMB 6,175/mt ($972/mt) ex-works.
 
6. Tinplate
The prices of products with thickness up to 0.28 mm are down by RMB 400/mt ($62/mt), while products with thicknesses over 0.28 mm up to 0.31 mm have fallen by RMB 340/mt ($53/mt) and products with thicknesses above 0.31 mm have fallen in price by RMB 300/mt ($47/mt).
 
7. Wire rod (WR)
(1). Steel Cord and 82Mn-QS products remain unchanged in price, while prices of other products have decreased by RMB 300/mt ($47/mt). Currently, 6.5 mm 45# high quality wire rod stands at RMB 4,050/mt ($637/mt), while 6.5 mm 22A cold heading is priced at RMB 4,120/mt ($648/mt), both ex-works.
(2). W77MnA and WSWRH82B products are the same in price.
 
8. Non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel
(1). The prices of medium number NGO silicon steel have fallen by RMB 600/mt ($94/mt).
(2). The prices of small number NGO silicon steel products have fallen by RMB 600/mt ($23/mt).
(3) Continuous annealing cold rolled products are offered at RMB 150/mt ($23/mt) less than the prices of the same product number at the silicon steel plant.
 
9. Grain-oriented silicon steel
All prices have declined by RMB 600/mt ($94/mt).
 
10. Pickling steel
All prices have declined by RMB 300/mt ($47/mt).
 
11. The prices of products such as heavy rail are remained stable.
 
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective as of November 16, 2011.
