Chinese steel producer Anshan Steel and Iron Group has issued its new prices for October delivery as follows:
1. Prices of hot rolled products have been raised by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt). As a result, the price of low carbon SPHC 3.1 mm x 1,000-1,199 mm HRC stands at RMB 3,910/mt ($583/mt) ex-mill, while that of common carbon Q235 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm HRC is at RMB 3,820/mt ($569/mt) ex-mill.
2. Prices of cold rolled products have risen by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt). Thus, SPCC 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm cold rolled coil is now priced at RMB 4,640/mt ($692/mt) ex-mill.
3. Plate prices are up RMB 50/mt ($7/mt). Accordingly, Q235A 20 mm medium plate is priced at RMB 3,850/mt ($574/mt), while the price of CCSA 20 mm shipbuilding plate stands at RMB 4,220/mt ($629/mt). Both are ex-factory prices.
4. The ex-mill prices of coated products have increased by RMB 150/mt ($22/mt). Thus, the ex-mill price of TDX51D+Z 0.5 mm coated steel stands at RMB 6,100/mt ($909/mt).
5. The price of galvanized steel is up by RMB 200/mt ($30/mt). Accordingly, the ex-mill price of ST01Z 1.0 galvanized is RMB 5,000/mt ($745/mt).
6. Ex-mill prices of electrical steel have risen by RMB 380/mt ($57/mt) for October, and so the price of 50AW 800 0.5 mm x 1,000 mm x C electrical steel stands at RMB 7,050/mt ($1,051/mt), with 108 mm x 4.5 mm size material priced at RMB 3,960/mt ($581/mt).
7. Wire rod prices are unchanged for October.
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective from October 1, 2010.
