Mexican CRC prices dip slightly despite market optimism

In the last two weeks, the price of Mexican domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) fell US$15/mt to reach US$808/mt ex-mill.

While prices in the global steel market still seem desperate, there still seems to be some hope for the automotive sector in Mexico.

Until last October, the automotive trade balance was US$41.207 billion, exceeding that of oil, tourism and remittances, and is expected to have completed the year with about $47.5 billion.
