Inquiry volume increases in Turkish flat steel market

The increase in the volume of inquiries early this week in the Turkish domestic flat steel market has provided increased stability for the market, though these inquiries have not been turned into transactions yet. In the meantime, although traders' flat steel prices have remained unchanged since last week, discounts have started to dry up in the market. Market players believe that flat steel prices may switch to an upward trend if inquiries turn into bookings in the coming days.

The domestic sales prices of traders for local and imported hot and cold rolled flat steel products in the Eregli and Gebze regions of Turkey are as follows:
