Pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) prices are unchanged in Turkey. Demand has remained slack in the domestic market, while demand on the export side shows some improvements. In the meantime, local mills have accelerated their production in order to respond to the needs of the export market. As lead times for PPGI have increased in the domestic market, PPGI demand in the spot market is expected to rise. Meanwhile, PPGI export offers from Turkey have remained almost at the same price levels as in the domestic market due to poor demand.
In the Turkish domestic market, RAL 9002 0.5 mm 100 gr/m² zinc coated PPGI prices have remained neutral at $920-940/mt ex-works, exclusive of 18 percent VAT.
