A Brazilian exporter told SteelOrbis that negotiations for the export of Galvalume remain in a price range of $800/mt to $840/mt, FOB conditions, depending on quality—unchanged in the last three weeks.

He added that over the last week, final deals are being closed in the upper side of the range, pointing to expectations of higher prices in the short term due to increased demand from major clients in the US and Argentina.

In June, Brazil exported 7,400 mt of Galvalume to the US at $907/mt and 3,000 mt to Argentina at $859/mt, both FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in April.

Additionally, fueled by domestic prices exceeding the equivalent to $1,000/mt, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, Brazil imported in June 32,000 mt of Galvalume from China at $723/mt, FOB conditions.
