The reference price of hot dipped galvanized products (HDG), for the export from Brazil to South American countries is $1,040/mt today, against $1,050/mt four weeks ago, CFR conditions, having the G40 grade and 4.75 mm thickness product as reference.
In July, Brazil exported 15,000 mt and imported 48,200 mt of HDG, against respectively 12,900 mt and 41,300 mt in June.
The exports were destined to South American countries (14,800 mt at $1,614/mt), and to the US (200 mt at $1,962/mt), FOB conditions, shipped by Usiminas (14,300 mt at $1,610/mt), CSN (500 mt at $1,721/mt), and by traders (200 mt at $1,364/mt).
The imports came from Asia (47,800 mt, of which 45,300 mt at $778/mt from China) and Europe (400 mt at $1,634/mt), also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HDG is currently sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, to end users or distributors, at BRL 6,400/mt ($1,285/mt), against BRL 6,500/mt four weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
