Wuyang Steel wins tender to supply Wudongde hydroelectric station

Hebei Province-based Chinese Steelmaker Wuyang Iron and Steel Co. (Wuyang Steel), a subsidiary of Hebei Province-based Chinese Steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group Co. (Hebei Steel Group), recently won a tender to supply 11,000 mt of steel to be made into 780MPa steel pipe for the Wudongde hydroelectric power station at Jinsha River, a project which is being carried out by Chinese state-owned power company China Three Gorges Corporation, as announced by Hebei Steel Group on August 3.
 
Wuyang Steel has already supplied S500Q-Z35 steel plate and 600MPa WDB620 hydro steel for this hydroelectric power station. When completed, Wudongde hydroelectric power station will have an installed capacity of 10.20 million kilowatts and an average annual output of 38.7 billion kilowatt-hour.
