US$/RMB exchange rate breaches 6.35

According to the China Foreign Exchange Trading Center, on October 11 the US$/RMB exchange rate on the inter-bank foreign exchange market reached 6.3483, marking the strongest level reached by the Chinese currency against the US dollar since the start of China's exchange rate reform.
 
With Germany and France indicating they will together take measures to protect the European banking system, the euro has increased in strength against the US dollar, while investors have also been encouraged.
