China sees GDP growth of 7.8 percent in H1

The gross domestic product (GDP) of China in the first half of the current year was RMB 22.7098 trillion ($3.5933 trillion), indicating a year-on-year increase of 7.8 percent, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics on July 13.
 
China's GDP growth in the first quarter this year was 8.1 percent year on year, slowing to 7.6 percent in the second quarter. In particular, in the first half of the current year, primary industry  contributed RMB 1.7471 trillion ($276.4 billion) to China's GDP for the period, up 4.3 percent, secondary industry contributed RMB 11.095 trillion ($1.7555 trillion), up 8.3 percent, while tertiary industry accounted for RMB 9.8677 trillion ($1.5613 trillion), up 7.7 percent, all on year-on-year basis.
