Brazilian flats steelmaker Usiminas, along with its distribution arm, Solucoes Usiminas, teamed up with Aethra to develop new products and solutions for the automotive industry, Usiminas said this week.

The companies reportedly set up a working group two months ago to develop new products and services with bi-weekly meetings.

Usiminas said the companies will share technology expertise to develop new products. Aethra may also use Usiminas’ research center. Usiminas said it will support Aethra in the production of materials for automakers.
