On December 22, 2005, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated an administrative review of the antidumping duty order on certain hot rolled carbon steel flat products imported from The Netherlands. The review covered the period November 1, 2004 through October 31, 2005.
In the final results dated May 22, 2007, the DOC determined that the final weighted-average dumping margin existing for the period November 1, 2004 through October 31, 2005 is 2.52 percent for Dutch steelmaker Corus Staal BV (Corus Staal).
However, following these final results, the respondent submitted comments alleging a ministerial error with respect to the margin set for Corus Staal, and requested that the DOC correct this alleged ministerial error. After analyzing Corus Staal's comments, the DOC has agreed that it made a ministerial error. Therefore, the DOC has decided to amend the final results of this review. As a result of the correction in the margin calculation, the margin set for Corus Staal has been decreased from 2.52 percent to 2.26 percent.
