This week flat steel import offers in
Turkey have softened slightly, following the conclusion of some transactions. As SteelOrbis reported last week, new import offers to
Turkey have been accepted by local market players and firm bids given by real buyers have contributed to the shaping of deal levels. Even though demand still indicates weakness, foreign mills, who are giving low-priced offers to attract demand, are not complaining that much about the current situation.
As SteelOrbis has heard from market sources, Ukrainian mills' hot rolled coil (
HRC) offers to the Turkish market are now standing at $520-530/mt CFR, indicating a decrease of $10/mt as compared to last week, while their cold rolled coil (
CRC) offers have decreased by $5-10/mt and are now in the range of $595-605/mt CFR.
Meanwhile, Russian mills'
HRC offers to
Turkey have indicated a decline of $10/mt week on week and are now at $545-555/mt CFR, while their
CRC offers for 0.51 mm and above thickness have softened by $10/mt to $605-610 CFR. However, ex-
Russia CRC offers for thickness of below 0.51 mm are unchanged at $720-725/mt CFR.
On the other hand, suppliers from the
Netherlands and
Romania are expected to return to the market with new offers in the coming days.
