Ukraine's scrap imports up 2.4 times in Jan-Sept

According to the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, in the first nine months of the current year Ukraine exported 130,328 mt of steel scrap, down 64.4 percent year on year, worth a total of $40.691 million, down 73.4 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the January-September period this year Ukraine's scrap imports increased by 2.4 times year on year to 159,774 mt, worth a total of $61.313 million, up 59.7 percent compared to the same period of 2012.
