The World Trade Organization (WTO) has announced that Ukraine has filed a complaint with it regarding the antidumping (AD) duties imposed on certain types of steel pipes imported into Kazakhstan from Ukraine, pursuant to the decision of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the executive body of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) which includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Armenia, of June 2, 2016.

According to the WTO’s statement, in its complaint, Ukraine claims that the measures at issue are inconsistent with a number of substantive, evidentiary and procedural obligations under the WTO’s antidumping agreement.

The mentioned antidumping duties on certain types of steel pipes imported from Ukraine into Kazakhstan range between 18.9 percent and 37.8 percent.
